
With Over 5380 registered and mapped caves, Missouri is known as the “Cave State”. There are 300 wild caves alone in the Lake of the Ozarks area. We also have 3 show caves in the area, all offer tours of the amazing underground, history of the area and colorful local lore.

With it’s awe-inspiring stalactites, and more onyx formations than any other known cave, Bridal Cave offers incomparable beauty. True to it’s name, many wedding take place here, in an area known as the Bridal Chapel. The name of the cave comes from an Osage Indian legend that is both tragic and romantic.
Tours leave every few minutes and last about an hour. The cave has concrete pathways and is 60 degrees inside. The cave is open in the Summer from 9am to 6pm. General admission for adults is $15, and $7 for children ages 5-12.

Jacob’s Cave was first discovered in 1875 by Jacob Craycraft, a miner searching for galena ore. It opened to the public in 1932 as the first commercial cave at the Lake of the Ozarks. Inside the cave there is an amazing variety of natural cave formations, including one room full of minerals which is actually the world’s largest geode. There are also prehistoric bones of mastodon, bear and peccary, as well as cave writings believed to be at least 2.000 years old.
The tour is a mile long, and visible signs of six ice ages and three earthquakes can be seen. It is truly an amazing educational experience for kids of all ages.
Jacob’s Cave is the only cave in Missouri that is completely accessible for persons with disabilities. Wheelchairs and baby strollers are available if needed. The temperature inside is 53 degrees year round.
The cave is open 9-5 from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and 9-4 in the off season. Price is $15 for adults, $7 for children 4-12, and group rates for groups of 15 or more are available. Ozark Caverns is located in the Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Linn Creek, MO. It’s impressive cave formations are made all the more entertaining by the variety of animals that live in the cave, including many that never venture out of the cave, including the blind grotto salamander.
Angel Showers is this cave’s most unusual feature. It is a never ending shower of water that seems to come out of the solid rock ceiling.
Ozark Caverns has two types of tours, the Traditional Tour and the Children’s Tour. The Traditional Tour lasts approximately 1 hour and is about 1/2 mile round trip. The Children’s Tour is 30-45 min. and designed for kids 5 and up.
